4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:
- People you invite: When you add a co-parent, caregiver, or family member to your household, the family data you share with them (such as calendar events, child profiles, and milestones) becomes visible to them according to the access you grant.
- Service providers: Third-party vendors who help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, AI model infrastructure, and customer support tools). These providers access your data only to perform services on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it.
- Apple: Subscription and payment information is processed through Apple’s App Store and governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
- Legal and safety: When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of ParentPro or others.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity. We will notify you if your data becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
5. Children’s Information
ParentPro is designed for parents and guardians to use. The Service is intended to be used by adults to manage information about their own children. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create their own accounts, and the Service is not directed to children for independent use.
When you, as a parent or guardian, add information about a child to the Service, you are responsible for that information and represent that you have the authority to provide it. We act as a processor of that information on your behalf to operate the Service. We use child profile data, photos, and milestones only to provide the Service to your family and do not use them for advertising or sell them.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without parental involvement, please contact us at owner@nanofiling.com and we will delete it promptly.
6. Photos and AI Processing
When you add photos or videos to a child’s milestones, they are stored securely in your account to power the Service. When you use the “Talk to ParentPro” assistant, your prompts and relevant family context are transmitted securely to our AI infrastructure to generate a response. We do not use your photos, family data, or AI conversations for model training without your explicit opt-in consent.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business necessity (e.g., fraud prevention records, legal hold). Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained indefinitely.
8. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to owner@nanofiling.com.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access and portability: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data and account
- Opt-out of marketing: Unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time via the link in the email or in app settings
- Restrict or object: Object to or request restriction of certain processing activities
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at owner@nanofiling.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.
10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as defined under California law. To exercise your California rights, contact us at owner@nanofiling.com.
